On October 27, 2020, a group of project owner’s representatives, led by Manager Zhou, of Zhejiang Huadian Wuxijiang Hydropower Generating Co., Ltd. visited Shenyang Getai Hydropower Equipment Co., Ltd. for the FAT inspection of the renovation project of No.5 Francis runner manufactured for Huangtankou Hydropower Station, a subsidiary of Zhejiang Huadian Wuxijiang Hydropower Generating Co., Ltd.
Huangtankou Hydropower Station is equipped with two Francis turbine units with the single capacity of 26MW, and one of the units, No. 6 Unit was renovated by Getai Hydropower in 2018, and the new runner was successfully installed in the power station for operation at the end of Jan. 2019. The owner felt very satisfied with the high quality of the new No. 6 runner and relevant services. Therefore, Getai Hydropower was again awarded the project for the renovation of No.5 Unit.
The new runner designed and manufactured for No.5 Unit has the diameter of 3800 mm, with the rated output of 26 MW and the rated speed of 115.4r/min. The core design of the runner is independently completed by the North American R&D Center of Getai Hydropower, so Getai completely owns the intellectual property rights of design.
In this FAT inspection, the project owner reviewed the inspection and testing reports, witnessed the main shaft seal testing and inspected the product in the workshop. Because of the rich experience, advanced processing technique and excellent product quality, Getai Hydropower won the approvals from the owner and the product was successfully accepted. The project owner was very satisfied with the results of FAT inspection and returned on October 28. The FAT inspection was completed successfully!
The product packaging began from November 3. During this period, the project supervisor followed up in the whole process, and made detailed measurements on the products. With the cooperation of all the relevant departments of Getai Hydropower, the products were packaged for shipment on the evening of November 4.
