On June 28, 2021, Mr. Ma, the supervising engineer from Bureau Veritas of Shanghai visited Shenyang Getai Hydropower Equipment Co., Ltd. to take the FAT inspection of 20 pieces of Kaplan turbine guide vanes and 5 pieces of blades manufactured by Getai Hydropower for the Spanish client.
This inspection lasted for 5 days, in which huge quantities of work must be completed, and the scope of inspection includes the dimension inspections, hardness tests, template inspections, roughness inspections and PT for both the guide vanes and blades, UT for the blades, and MT for all the surface areas of all guide vanes.
This FAT inspection is characteristic of two challenges: first, the Spanish client rigorously requires that all the guide vanes must reach the roughness of 0.8, which is even more demanding than the requirement of the strict Japanese client for the guide vane roughness of 1.0; second, MT is required to be performed on all the surface areas of all guide vanes, rather than on certain areas of some products randomly selected, which will cause the great increase of working quantities and difficulties of the inspection. But Getai bravely faces these challenges and finally achieves good results: all the guide vanes are inspected as qualified in the roughness inspection, and MT is completed efficiently and accurately due to Getai technician’s hard work in the cooperation with Mr. Ma on the inspection.
Mr. Ma worked in a highly efficient and professional way. He participated in each inspection to record the key details, while the Getai staff try all their best to cooperate with him in this FAT inspection, and due to their diligent work and active cooperation, all the products are finally inspected as qualified and will be packaged for delivery. This FAT inspection attests another group of great quality products, which not only prove the comprehensive strength, but also improve the international competition ability of Getai Hydropower. It is strongly believed that Getai Hydropower will obtain greater achievements in the Year 2021!
