About Francis Runner Manufactured by Getai Hydropower
We are able to manufacture both cast and forged steel CNC machining Francis runner in the diamter of 0.5-4mm and in the output of 0.3-300MW. We can also manufacture the mono-block forged Francis runners.
We are also able to perform the Francis runner repair and renovation project through repair welding. The repaired products can also reach high value of performance, and can save the costs for the clients.
In addition to the Francis runners, we are also able to manufacture cast CNC-machining guide vanes and blades for Francis turbine.

The main problem of the power station is insufficiency of output; the designed rated output of unit is 26MW (26.8MW if generator’s efficiency is calculated by 97%), but the output could only reach 24MW when all units are in full operation, since the installation.
According to the requirements of renovation, the output shall be greater than 26MW when all units are in full operation, and allowance shall be reserved for the good stability after unit renovation.
After renovation by Shenyang Getai:
After the renovation, the output and efficiency of the unit completely meet the requirements of the contract, with extra power generating ability of more than 30MW.
The new runner has high efficiency in the area of big flow and high load, and it operates stably in the high-load area, which could meet the requirements of customer for long-term stable operation of the runner in the full load area.
Strictly control the quality of runner casting, and provide testing block cut from the same castings in each furnace to the third party for strict inspection and test; strict NDT and overall annealing treatment for the welding work, to remove residual stress.
Generally speaking, this renovation project has achieved the purpose to upgrade the efficiency and capacity of the unit. The rated output of the new unit has reached 28MW (higher than 27MW estimated in the feasibility study report). The new unit has a good economic performance, so it may reduce the time to recover the cost.
